Ordering from the Street Bites food truck at Castlepoint takes about two minutes, and as of this week you have one more way to pay. Here is the whole process, start to finish.
New: pay cash on collection
Ordering ahead used to mean paying by card. You can now also choose Cash on Collection and pay at the truck when you pick your food up.
At checkout, once you have selected Click & Collect, you will see the choice: pay by card now, or pay cash at the truck. Pick cash and your order goes straight through to our kitchen — no card details, no payment page. Your confirmation email tells you exactly how much to bring.
One thing worth knowing: cash on collection orders may not be prepared until you arrive in person at the truck. Exact change is always appreciated.
You still earn Street Bites Coins on a cash order exactly as you would paying by card.

We are on the upper level at Castlepoint, by M&S — Yeomans Way, Bournemouth BH8 9UL. It is a short walk from whichever end of the centre you come in.
Our trading hours are:
- Monday to Thursday — 11:00 to 18:30
- Friday — 11:00 to 19:00
- Saturday — 10:00 to 19:00
- Sunday — 10:00 to 17:00
Collection orders close at 18:00 daily. That is deliberately earlier than the truck itself shuts, so the kitchen is not still making up bags at closing time.
How long it takes
Food is usually ready in about 30 minutes, and the estimate you see at checkout is live — it reflects what the grill is actually running at, not a number we guessed once and forgot about.
You have two options when you order:
- As soon as possible — we start it now and you come down when it is ready.
- Book a slot — pick a specific 15-minute window, useful if you are fitting food around a shop or picking up on your way home.

Allergens, halal and dietary requirements
Every dish is listed with its allergens on our allergen page, and you can filter it by what you need to avoid. Halal, vegetarian and vegan items carry green roundels on the menu.

What time do collection orders close?
Collection orders can be placed up until 18:00 each day, even though the truck itself trades later. That gives the kitchen time to clear the last bags before close.
How long does a Street Bites order take?
Around 30 minutes for collection, and the live estimate is shown at checkout before you pay. You can also book a specific 15-minute slot rather than ordering for as soon as possible.
